Inverell, known as the Sapphire City, is located on the Macintyre River in Northern New South Wales.

Since 1984 our enthusiastic members have been researching and collecting local and family history resources, for the benefit of both members and visitors.

The Group's area of special interest is roughly bounded by Swan Vale and Wellingrove in the east, Ashford, Bonshaw, Texas and Yetman to the north, west to Delungra and Warialda and to the south Howell, Tingha and Bundarra. To see the Locality Map click here

Joining our group provides benefits such as:

  • Assistance with your research
  • Access to a wide range of local and non-local resources
  • Opportunities to meet others with similar interests

Visitors are always welcome. Appointments are preferred, however, so we can make the best use of your time.
